Online Payment Portal Guide

Ocean State Oil is excited to announce the launch of our new payment portal, which makes it easier than ever to pay online.

With our new portal, you can conveniently pay your balance directly from your checking account, without having to worry about writing a check or mailing it in.

HOW TO SIGN UP FOR THE PAYMENT PORTAL:

 

STEP 1: On the Homepage, click “Enroll” to get started.

STEP 2: Enter your Customer Number and Billing Zip Code.

*CUSTOMER NUMBER and BILLING ZIPCODE are on your Invoices and Statements*

STEP 3: Your business name will populate on the left. Enter your mobile number and email address. This email is where you will receive any receipts.

STEP 4: Create a login and password. This is your unique login that you will use to access the payment portal. Do not forget it.

You will also be asked to choose a Security Image. Make sure to remember the label you give the image. It is your unique image and label used to access your account.

STEP 5:  Choose your security questions and answers. Make sure you choose questions and answers that you will remember in case you need to reset your password in the future.

STEP 6: Accept the Terms of Service by clicking the check box.

STEP 7: Add your Payment Method. Make sure to indicate whether it is a Business or Personal Account and whether it is a Checking or Savings Account.

STEP 8: ENTER BANK INFO

You can give your payment method a “Nickname” to remember it in case you decide to add other payment methods in the future.

You can add multiple payment methods once you create your profile.

Once you fill out the info, click “Finish Enrollment” at the bottom.

STEP 9: Check your email for your activation link. Click the blue “ACTIVATE” button.

Hit “Continue” to go to the login screen.

STEP 10: Once your account is activated, you can login on the homepage using the login and password you created.

STEP 11: Once logged in, any unpaid invoices will be shown. You can select the invoice(s) you want to pay. Confirm your payment method and payment date and click “Continue to Payment.”

STEP 12:  On the Verify Payment screen, review that the information you input is accurate.  *You can modify the payment method or date at this time.

Mark the check box to agree to the terms and conditions. Click the green “Finalize Payment” button to make your payment.

STEP 13: A Confirmation will appear. You can print this page for your records. An email confirmation will also be sent to you.

 

HOW TO MAKE A ONE-TIME GUEST PAYMENT

(PAY WITHOUT CREATING A PROFILE)

If you would prefer to make a one-time payment, please follow these instructions:

STEP 1: On the Homepage, click the “Guest Payment” Tab on the top right to get started. Enter your Customer Number and Billing Zip Code which are found on your invoice.

STEP 2: Select the invoice(s) you want to pay for. If there are credits on your account, select “ALL CREDIT NOTICES”  option.  You must enter a payment method. Click the “+Enter” button on the right of the “Payment Method” field. Choose your payment date.

STEP 3:  Add your payment method. Make sure to indicate whether it is a Business or Personal Account and whether it is a Checking or Savings Account. Agree to the terms by checking the box and click “Enter Account” once finished. Then, you can Continue to Payment.

STEP 4:  On the Verify Payment screen, review that the information you input is accurate.  You can modify the payment method or date at this time. Enter an email address where your receipt will be sent.

Click the check box to agree to the terms and conditions. Click the green “Make Payment” button to finalize your payment.

STEP 5:  A Confirmation will appear. You can print the page for your records. An email confirmation will also be sent to you.

You have the option to enroll by clicking “Enroll with Your Current Information.” If you enroll and create a profile, you can simply login to pay next time and will not have to re-enter your payment info.

 

*Optional* HOW TO SET UP AUTO PAY:

STEP 1: You can set up a convenient Auto Pay for your future invoices. Simply click “Auto Pay” on your portal to set it up.

STEP 2: Click “Create New Auto Pay” to begin.

STEP 3: Choose a nickname for your Auto Pay (you are able to add more than one). Choose the account and click “Continue.”

STEP 4: Choose the desired Schedule settings for your Auto Pay.

STEP 5: Choose your Payment Method for your Auto Pay.

STEP 6: Agree to Billing Authorization by clicking the Check Box.
STEP 7: Review and Click “Finish.”
STEP 8: You can Review, Edit or Delete your Auto Pay at any time on your portal.

 

*Optional* HOW TO LINK CUSTOMER NUMBERS

DO YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE CUSTOMER NUMBER FOR YOUR SEPARATE BUSINESSES?

YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO LINK YOUR CUSTOMER NUMBERS.

How to Link Multiple Customer Numbers to Your Payment Account

 

STEP 1: On the top right of your portal, click the gear button to access the Settings Drop-Down Menu. Click “Account Linking.”
STEP 2: Add your other Customer Number and Billing Zip Code and click “Submit” to link it to your payment account.
STEP 3: You have the option to invite another user to access your portal. This is useful if you have more than one person at your business that makes payments. Simply enter their email and click “Send Invitation.” They will receive an email with instructions on how to become a user on your payment account.
